Refund Policy for the Global Youth Summit for Change
At YCDP, we are committed to providing an exceptional experience for all participants at our events, including the Global Youth Summit for Change (GYSC). We also recognize that unforeseen circumstances may arise, prompting refund inquiries. This refund policy outlines the terms and conditions for registration refunds.
General Policy
- Mandatory and Non-Refundable Registration Fee:
The registration fee for fully and partially funded categories is mandatory, non-refundable, and non-transferable under any circumstances. - Agreement to Terms and Conditions:
All applicants are required to review and accept this refund policy before completing registration. This ensures transparency and mutual understanding.
Refund Eligibility
Refunds will only be provided in the form of YCDP Credit Vouchers (YCVs) and only under specific conditions. These vouchers can be used for future YCDP events.
Self-Funded Applicants
- Delegates who pay the full registration fee for the self-funded category may be eligible for a refund under one condition only: if their visa application is rejected.
- In the case of a refund, administrative and tax charges will be deducted from the total.
Conditions for YCDP Credit Vouchers
- The full registration must be paid in one transaction (no installments).
- Requests for refunds must be emailed at least 45 days prior to the event.
- Requests made 30 days prior to the event will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
- Requests made 15 days prior to the event will be subject to a 75% cancellation fee.
- No refund requests will be entertained within 15 days of the event. 100% of the fee will be retained as a cancellation fee.
YCDP Credit Voucher Terms and Conditions
- Validity: Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issuance.
- Non-Transferable: Vouchers are issued to the original registrant and cannot be transferred.
- No Cash Value: Vouchers are not redeemable for cash.
- Partial Redemption: Vouchers may be used toward a future event registration, with the balance carried forward if applicable.
- Usage Limitation: Vouchers can only be applied to YCDP-organized programs or events.
Special Circumstances
In the event of unforeseen disruptions such as natural disasters, political instability, pandemics, or public emergencies, YCDP reserves the right to review refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
