A global network of young leaders for peace
We are thrilled to announce the official launch of our Global Youth Ambassador Program, a transformative initiative designed to empower young leaders across the world to champion dialogue, understanding, and peacebuilding within their communities and beyond.
After a highly competitive and inspiring selection process, we are proud to welcome 49 outstanding young changemakers as our Global Youth Ambassadors. These remarkable young people come from various countries, cultures, and disciplines, united by a common mission: to promote peace through dialogue, empathy, and collaboration.
At YCDP, we believe that peace knows no borders, and through this program, we are building a global network of young leaders who will shape a more peaceful, inclusive, and understanding world.

Meet our Global Youth Ambassadors
Nurjan Amirjanova
International Relations master’s student and emerging peace advocate, based in Budapest
Nurjan Amirjanova is an International Relations master’s student in Eötvös Loránd University and an emerging peace advocate from Azerbaijan, currently based in Budapest. She has hands-on experience in diplomacy, peacebuilding, and youth engagement through her work with the Embassies of Azerbaijan in Hungary and Italy, the Azerbaijan–Hungarian Alumni Union, and international organizations.
She represents Azerbaijan in global forums, leads initiatives on inclusion and conflict prevention, and promotes youth participation in peacebuilding processes, contributing to high-level platforms.
With a strong background in research, public diplomacy, and intercultural cooperation, Nurjan is committed to fostering dialogue-driven solutions, strengthening international understanding, and empowering young people to shape peaceful and inclusive societies.
Ana Beatriz Pizarro
Nurse scientist leading global health and evidence synthesis initiatives
Ana Beatriz Pizarro is a Colombian nurse scientist. With over 60 peer-reviewed publications, she leads multi-country initiatives advancing evidence synthesis methods, health equity, and global health.
Passionate about bridging science and policy and strengthening the pathways through which evidence can inform decision-making and reduce health disparities in Latin America and the Caribbean and across the Global South.
She is also active in mentoring early-career researchers and advocates for youth leadership in building more equitable and sustainable health systems worldwide.
Noorjehaan Motlekar
Logistics specialist and MBA student in International Relations and Diplomacy
Noorjehaan Motlekar, 31, is a South African of diverse heritage with a BCom in Brand Management and is currently pursuing a Swiss-accredited MBA in International Relations and Diplomacy.
She is a logistics specialist with extensive experience in hospitality, travel, and tourism, and has contributed to the successful launch of essential commodities such as wheat, salt, cement, and flour across multiple countries. Fluent in several languages, she has worked as a television presenter, interviewer, and scriptwriter, producing content that engages diverse audiences and explores social, cultural, and business themes.
A well-traveled individual with a deep passion for exploring new cultures, she is pursuing aviation as a hobby, training for her private pilot’s license. Noorjehaan is recognized as a versatile leader with a deeply multicultural and global outlook, committed to fostering dialogue, innovation, and meaningful change.
Gaelle W. Semaan
Protocol expert at the Lebanese Presidential Palace with a human rights law background
Gaelle W. Semaan is a Lebanese professional with a BA in Political Science and International Affairs from LAU and an MA in Human Rights Law from SOAS, London. Fluent in English, French, and Arabic, she is currently an expert in the Protocol Department at the Lebanese Presidential Palace.
Her diverse experience spans diplomacy, international organizations, and the private sector, with roles at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, WHO, UNICEF, and the Digital Cooperation Organization.
Passionate about human rights, women’s empowerment, and child protection, Gaelle brings strong leadership and communication skills to advance positive change in diplomacy and global governance.
Divanshi
Youth advocate for education, gender equality and dialogue
Divanshi grew up in India with a deep curiosity about people, cultures, and the power of dialogue to foster understanding.
Over time, her involvement in education, gender equality, and youth-led initiatives strengthened her interest in peacebuilding. She has always been passionate about learning—whether through community engagement, leadership programs, or exploring new languages and ideas.
These experiences have shaped her belief that young people can transform societies through empathy and collaboration. As a Global Youth Ambassador at the Youth Centre for Peace and Dialogue, Divanshi aims to learn, mentor, and actively contribute to building more inclusive, thoughtful, and connected communities
Mehrosh Zahid
Media communicator using storytelling for dialogue and community healing
For Mehrosh Zahid, storytelling has always been a powerful way to understand the world—not only as it is, but as it could be. Raised in Pakistan, she witnessed her generation navigating their aspirations amid conflict and uncertainty.
These lived experiences inspired her to view media not merely as a creative outlet but as a tool for connection, dialogue, and community healing.
With an academic background in Media Communications and hands-on experience in digital advocacy, creative campaigns, and youth-centered initiatives, Mehrosh has committed herself to amplifying voices that are often overlooked.
She strongly believes that when young people are given the space to speak, they do more than share their struggles—they offer meaningful solutions.
Nourhen Melouk
Specialist in international cooperation, intercultural communication and event management
Nourhen Melouk is an Algerian professional dedicated to international cooperation, intercultural communication, and event management. She holds a Master’s degree in Microbiology and is currently studying Economics and Management, alongside complementary professional training.
Actively involved in student representation through the National Union of Algerian Students, and engaged in civic initiatives, she has contributed to humanitarian actions, including support for children with cancer, Pink October awareness campaigns, blood donation drives, and community volunteering.
She is also involved in organizing entrepreneurship and investment-focused events that connect young project leaders, institutions, and partners to foster collaboration and economic development.
Suhuyini Karmil
Gender and Development Specialist with FAO Ghana
Suhuyini Karmil is a Gender and Development Specialist with over a decade of experience advancing gender equality, social inclusion, and resilience across Ghana. Her work spans multiple sectors, with a strong commitment to creating systems that uplift vulnerable and marginalized populations. She currently serves with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Ghana, supporting initiatives that strengthen climate resilience and sustainable livelihoods. Suhuyini is passionate about intersectional, community-driven solutions that promote dignity, opportunity, and lasting transformation for all.
Fatima Tida Juwara
Social Anthropology student at SOAS who spoke at the UN in Geneva
Fatima Tida Juwara is a Social Anthropology student at SOAS who represented the United Kingdom at the Global Youth Summit for Change in Geneva, where she delivered an inspiring UN talk on youth mental health, sustainability, and digital inclusion. Her academic focus on culture and society sparked a deep interest in law, particularly in areas where innovation and ethics intersect. With experience across leading law firms and international advocacy spaces, she is committed to amplifying youth voices, challenging inequality, and shaping solutions that empower communities. She hopes to build a legal career grounded in purpose, curiosity, and meaningful social impact.
Ajeng Adinda Putri
Interfaith peacemaker and counter-extremism campaigner
Ajeng Adinda Putri is a committed peacebuilder with extensive experience in interfaith engagement and grassroots peace initiatives in Indonesia. Since 2019, she has served as a Peacemaker with the Indonesia Interfaith Forum. In 2020, she joined the Indonesia Peace Ambassadors under the National Counterterrorism Agency of the Republic of Indonesia, contributing to digital peace campaigns and counter-extremism initiatives. She currently volunteers with the Leimena Institute, supporting peace education for teachers, and with Gusdurian Jakarta, advancing community-based peacebuilding. Ajeng focuses on youth leadership, collaborative dialogue, and sustainable peace, working across local and national platforms to promote inclusive and resilient communities.
Teenah Jutton
Sustainability leader and former Member of the National Assembly of Mauritius
Ms. Teenah Jutton is a sustainability leader dedicated to advancing ESG-driven innovation, climate action, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through fervent advocacy, collaborative ventures and inclusive leadership.
Her personal motto is to be able to bring a positive impact to the lives of people and For her, ‘Leadership is about Influencing Lives’ ~ John Maxwell.
Ms Teenah Jutton has been chosen for the Peace Fellowship 2025 across participants worldwide to be part of the UNESCO Intercultural Leadership Programme ‘Youth for Peace’.Ms Teenah Jutton is a Former Member of the National Assembly of Mauritius .During her five-year tenure as Parliamentarian, she has been an Executive Member for the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (“CPA”) for Africa. She was also a Member on the Board of Young Parliamentarians of the Inter Parliamentary Union ( “IPU”).
Aliyah Azizi
Youth Representative for the World Food Forum (FAO) and founder of Hope in Action
Aliyah Azizi is originally from Afghanistan and currently serves as the Youth Representative for the World Food Forum (WFF–FAO), where she advocates for inclusive and sustainable food systems. She is the Founder and Director of Hope in Action Organization, leading initiatives that support women and youth in accessing education and expanding opportunities.
In addition, Aliyah serves as the Director of Communications at Accion Inspira International Foundation. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Global Economics and Business at the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio.
Her work focuses on sustainability, youth empowerment, and educational equity, with the goal of inspiring long-term, community-driven change across both local and global platforms.
Tiannah Winchester
Youth leader from Tobago in leadership, public speaking and advocacy
Tiannah Winchester is a youth leader from Tobago (Trinidad and Tobago) dedicated to empowering young people through leadership, public speaking, and community engagement. She has represented youth at prominent forums such as the Tobago Day Youth Debate, International Women’s Day Debate, both hosted by the Tobago House of Assembly, and at Trinidad and Tobago’s National Parliament through the WPTT Y.E.S Leadership Programme which focused on leadership development, parliamentary procedure, research and advocacy skills. She also participated in the HARCON National Youth Sustainability Programme, which promotes the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Building on her scientific studies, she is exploring health-care pathways and developing initiatives that advocate for youth with chronic illnesses. Ms. Winchester is driven by a commitment to empowering Tobagonian youth and fostering positive change across Trinidad and Tobago and beyond.
Ximena Oxford
Engineering student working at the intersection of technology and diplomacy
Ximena Oxford is a Venezuelan engineering student working at the intersection of technology and diplomacy. She believes in applying engineering principles and systems thinking to promote social cohesion and support conflict resolution. This conviction was further strengthened after she founded a Model United Nations program, which later became a core part of her school’s curriculum.
Heloisa Marques
International Relations student and Lead of Caatlântica
Heloisa Marques is an International Relations student and a passionate advocate for climate action and peace. She is the Lead of Caatlântica, a youth-led initiative dedicated to amplifying the voices of young Brazilians affected by climate change while demystifying public understanding of Brazil’s native biomes. Guided by a vision of peace that extends beyond the absence of conflict to embrace the presence of justice, Heloisa focuses her work at the intersection of climate justice, gender equality, and sustainable futures.
Jonathans Makundi
Youth leader, peace advocate and humanitarian studying law
Jonathans Makundi is a dedicated youth leader, peace advocate, humanitarian, and community development advocate committed to empowering young people across Tanzania and beyond borders.
He serves as the Deputy Country Coordinator of EQUIP Leadership Tanzania and Head of Nominations at the Tanzania Emerging Youths Awards. Jonathans actively contributes to Youths of the United Nations Association, advancing peacebuilding, leadership, and global citizenship.
He has led numerous youth programs, mobilized communities for development initiatives, and supported vulnerable groups through various humanitarian efforts. Currently pursuing law studies, Jonathans applies his legal knowledge to promote justice, education, and youth rights. Passionate about service and collaboration, he continues to drive impactful youth-led initiatives that strengthen communities and inspire sustainable positive change.
Angela Basiima Tusime
Lawyer, intellectual property specialist and Youth SDGs Advocate
Angela Basiima Tusime is a Ugandan lawyer and advocate whose work seamlessly bridges the worlds of law, environmental action, and youth leadership. With a specialization in intellectual property, she is passionate about empowering creators and innovators to secure and benefit from their ideas.
Beyond the law, Angela is a dynamic force for sustainable change. As a Youth SDGs Advocate focused on Goals 4 (Quality Education), 13 (Climate Action), and 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), she turns advocacy into tangible projects.
Mohammed Almahdi
Filmmaker, journalist and founder of the Shift Foundation
Mohammed Almahdi is a Yemeni filmmaker, journalist, and communications professional, currently pursuing an MA in Visual Arts in Indonesia. He is the Chairman and Founder of Shift Foundation, a grassroots initiative that brings free Yemeni and international film screenings to schools, universities, NGOs, and community spaces. Through this work, he leads a team dedicated to using cinema as a tool for cultural dialogue and peacebuilding across Yemen.
His professional experience spans communications roles with international NGOs, alongside years of freelance work in journalism and filmmaking
Mohamed Shibani
Youth leader and certified international trainer in entrepreneurship and leadership
Mohamed Shibani is a Libyan youth leader and certified international trainer specializing in entrepreneurship and leadership. He currently serves as an International Relations Officer at the Libyan Youth Hostels Association, where he actively supports youth mobility, intercultural exchange, and global cooperation initiatives.
He has represented Libya in numerous regional and international programs, including global youth forums and leadership exchange initiatives. Mohamed’s work is centered on youth empowerment, the promotion of dialogue, and community-driven development.
Yosra Mohammed
Sudanese humanitarian and Business Administration student based in Malaysia
Yosra is a Sudanese humanitarian and a student of Business Administration, currently based in Malaysia.
The realities she has witnessed throughout her life have deeply shaped her commitment to serving people across borders with dignity and compassion. She carries the pain of her country and represents the voices of those who continue to suffer in silence.
Mohamed Ahmed Salem
Public Policy and Information Systems student at Assiut University
Mohamed Ahmed Salem is an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Public Policy and Information Systems (PPIS) at Assiut University. He has a strong interest in banking, finance, and public policy analysis, supported by a diverse set of skills and practical experiences.
Through internships in climate change project management and commercial banking, Mohamed has gained valuable insights into both the financial and social sectors. He is committed to continuous learning and professional development and strives to make meaningful contributions to his field. Driven by strong motivation and a collaborative spirit, he is dedicated to achieving high professional standards.
Justice Dzokoto-Alor
Former Speaker of the University of Ghana Parliament House
Justice Dzokoto-Alor is a young Ghanaian leader with a strong passion for democracy, governance, policy, law, and international relations. He firmly believes that leadership is not about waiting for the future, but about taking meaningful action today.
His leadership journey began at an early age when he served as a Child Ambassador for World Vision Ghana, advocating for children’s rights and community development. He later became an alumnus of the West African Young Leaders Fellowship (WAYLead) Initiative by CDD-Ghana, where he further strengthened his commitment to policy advocacy and good governance.
At the University of Ghana, Justice served two terms as Majority Leader and later held office as the 20th Speaker of the University of Ghana Parliament House. In 2023, he demonstrated his continued dedication to public service by contesting as a UGSRC Vice Presidential Candidate, guided by his belief that leadership is rooted in service and responsibility.
Channel Rodriguez Torres
Environmental engineer representing Peru at COY20, COP30 and COP6
Channel Rodriguez Torres is a young Peruvian leader with Andean roots and a strong commitment to climate action, dialogue, and peacebuilding. He is an environmental engineer with a master’s degree in occupational health, safety, and environmental management. Channel represents Peru in international spaces such as COY20, COP30, and COP6 (Minamata), and is currently in the process of becoming an IPCC reviewer, contributing both technical expertise and community-based perspectives to global climate science.
Drawing from his experience working with high-Andean communities, Channel focuses on highlighting how climate change impacts the present realities of youth. His work promotes initiatives that integrate culture, sustainability, and social justice.
Amina Murhebwa
Civic educator, Mandela Washington Fellow and playwright
Amina Murhebwa is a Congolese leader and changemaker dedicated to empowering youth and women through education, peacebuilding, and civic engagement. Trained as a civic and electoral educator by the Electoral Training School of Central Africa (EFEAC), she has successfully managed civic education programs and initiatives that promote dialogue and community resilience. Through the Goldin Institute and the Mandela Washington Fellowship, she gained advanced skills in leadership and public administration, enhancing her ability to design and lead impactful initiatives. As a board member and playwright with GAARJ, she uses creative expression to raise awareness and inspire social change, advocating for equitable and thriving communities in the Democratic Republic of Congo and beyond.
Sami Hussaini
Executive Assistant to Canada’s Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs
Sami Hussaini is currently serving as the Executive Assistant to the Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs, and Minister responsible for the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency. Prior to this role, he supported the Minister of Northern Affairs, Minister responsible for Prairies Economic Development Canada, and Minister responsible for the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency playing a key role in advancing critical national initiatives.
Sami joined Minister Vandal’s office in July, bringing his passion for inclusive, impactful policy development.
Beyond his professional work, Sami is deeply committed to global humanitarian efforts. He actively volunteers with Khalsa Aid International, a non-for-profit providing essential support in disaster and conflict zones. Sami also contributes to YATA-NATO Canada, the youth wing of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, serving on its Global Policy and UN Committee, National Defense and Strategic Alliances Committee, and Women in NATO Committee.
In 2023, Sami worked in the constituency office of Ottawa Centre Liberal MP Yasir Naqvi, transitioning from an intern to a full-time Constituency Assistant. With a Master’s in Political Management from Carleton University, Sami’s career reflects his unwavering dedication to fostering inclusive dialogue, empowering youth, and diverse voices, addressing the needs of all communities in Canada and beyond.
Mriam Almotairi
Legal expert in human rights and international humanitarian law
Mriam Almotairi, a Saudi legal expert, lecturer, and humanitarian practitioner, specializes in human rights and international humanitarian law. She holds a Master of Laws from the University of Queensland and is licensed to practice law in Saudi Arabia. With over five years of legal experience, Mriam has contributed her expertise to various humanitarian initiatives, including her volunteer work with Refugee and Immigration Legal Services (RAILS) in Australia, where she supported disadvantaged individuals in obtaining protection visas.
She recently joined the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Riyadh. Driven by a strong commitment to refugee rights and humanitarian engagement, Mriam is dedicated to pursuing a long-term career focused on supporting vulnerable communities.
Megan Kong
MSc Criminal Justice Policy student at LSE
Megan Kong was born and raised in Hong Kong and mainland China before moving to London for her tertiary education. After completing her BSc in Politics and International Relations at UCL, she is now pursuing an MSc in Criminal Justice Policy at LSE, with a strong passion for tackling financial crime.
It has long been Megan’s dream to be on an international stage and advocate for global security and peace. She is therefore deeply honored to be appointed as a Global Youth Ambassador for YCDP and looks forward to building bridges across communities, amplifying young voices, and driving meaningful action for dialogue and peace worldwide.
Álvaro Renato Huezo Melara
Lawyer and Notary Public specialising in anti-corruption
Álvaro Renato Huezo Melara is a Lawyer and Notary Public with a specialization in anti-corruption from l’ENA (France), and academic training from Georgetown University and institutions in El Salvador. He has extensive experience in anti-corruption, ethics, transparency, and data protection.
He has participated in global forums organized by UNODC, GRACE, the World Bank, OLACEFS, and the Spanish Agency for Data Protection. His work has been published by the Chilean Journal of Public Administration and the United Nations.
Álvaro has been recognized among the top 45 young legal professionals in El Salvador. He currently serves as Head of Department and Information and Data Protection Officer at the Court of Accounts. In addition, he is a facilitator at the institution’s instruction and training center, a lecturer in the first postgraduate anti-corruption program, and a Professional Associate at the Latin American Institute of Compliance.
Paola Dimalla
Epidemiologist and Cameroon’s Junior Senator to the United Nations
Paola Dimalla, a young leader from Cameroon, is deeply committed to peace, dialogue, and youth empowerment. An epidemiologist by profession and Cameroon’s Junior Senator to the United Nations, she mentors Junior Diplomats and supports them in strengthening their understanding of global issues and international diplomacy.
Paola also serves as President of HEAYE, where she leads impactful initiatives focused on improving the health, education, and protection of children and young people. In her role within Cameroon’s Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), she contributes to advancing vaccination efforts and epidemiological surveillance across the country.
Through her leadership, Paola Dimalla remains dedicated to inspiring youth to become influential agents of change for a healthier and more peaceful future.
Omar Ben Ajiba
Sustainability and governance professional focused on Morocco and the Mediterranean
Omar Ben Ajiba is trained in international business and works on sustainability, governance, and development. He earned his MSc at Aalborg University after studying business administration at Al Akhawayn University. He developed an early interest in sustainability through Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam’s Governing Climate Change programme. His consulting experience reflects analytical rigor, strategic clarity, and responsible development, strengthened by participation in multilateral discussions at the Palais des Nations in Geneva. As a YCDP Youth Ambassador, he aims to support dialogue and meaningful opportunities for young people in Morocco and the Mediterranean.
Robina Azizi
Education and human rights advocate, founder of Girls on the Path of Change
Robina Azizi is an Afghan advocate for education and human rights. She founded Girls on the Path of Change, a global initiative that offers online learning for girls who cannot go to school. During the two years when schools were closed in Afghanistan, she spoke up for thousands of Afghan schoolgirls, sharing their worries with the media and the world.
Robina acts as an Ambassador for Theirworld and the Youth Center for Dialogue and Peace. In these roles, she helps girls around the globe gain access to education. She has worked with UNICEF and joined programs with the Global Encounter organization.
Honored with the Diana Award 2024 and Movers of Tomorrow 2025, Robina continues to guide young girls facing challenges in education and fights for equal educational opportunities worldwide.
Md Sabbir Hossain
Electrical & Electronics Engineering student and youth advocate
Md Sabbir Hossain, a passionate youth advocate from Bangladesh, is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s in Electrical & Electronics Engineering at North South University, as a proud alumnus of Govt. Mohammadpur Model School and College, he is dedicated to making science and technology joyful and accessible for students.
In his role as a Global Youth Ambassador at YCDP, Sabbir aims to design inclusive contests and outreach initiatives that foster peace, empathy, and youth empowerment. He also contributes to student clubs and tech events, supporting young learners as they develop confidence, creativity, and a sense of purpose.
Sabbir’s mission is to connect learning with meaningful impact—using dialogue, innovation, and community engagement to inspire positive change.
Sümeyye Kübra Dağlı
PhD candidate in AI policies in education and Teacher of the Year 2024
Sümeyye Kübra Dağlı is a PhD candidate at Hacettepe University, specializing in artificial intelligence policies in education, while completing her undergraduate studies in Political Science and International Relations at Istanbul University.
As a master science teacher and educational researcher, she works at the intersection of technology, equity, and sustainable development. She leads projects promoting gender equity and digital literacy, including AI with Girls’ Power, recognized as a model of inclusive education and invited to UNESCO’s 2025 Digital Learning Week. Named Türkiye’s 2024 Teacher of the Year. She mentors under UN SDSN to advance the SDGs through student-led innovation.
Mariam Balde
Economics student and Youth Case Management Intern with the International Rescue Committee
Mariam Balde is an emerging economist and global development advocate in her second year of her Economics degree. With a strong commitment to youth empowerment, international policy and humanitarian impact, she has built a multidisciplinary portfolio spanning case management, global engagement and program operations.
Mariam currently serves as a Youth Case Management Intern with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), where she supports refugee and immigrant youth as they navigate resettlement, education access, and community integration. Ikhlas Merabti is a political representative and community advocate working across youth development, grassroots leadership, and international issues. Ikhlas mentors young people, supports boys in moving away from violence, and stands alongside asylum seekers and vulnerable families to ensure they can access the support and opportunities they deserve.
Ikhlas is also actively involved in broader policy discussions, drawing on firsthand community experience to challenge unjust systems and advocate for decision-making that reflects people’s real lived realities rather than assumptions. Nariman Gzara is a Global Youth Ambassador with the Youth Center for Dialogue and Peace (YCDP), representing North Africa in advancing dialogue, peacebuilding, and climate justice. Holding a Master’s degree in Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy and a background in Business Intelligence, Nariman bridges research, technology, and policy to promote resilient and inclusive solutions.
Nariman has served as a UN Youth Delegate for the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4), spoken at Africa E-Mobility Week, been selected as a participant in the ADT4Blue program, and contributed as a researcher with IGI Global. Through these roles, Nariman advocates for transformative climate action driven by innovation and youth leadership, with a strong commitment to amplifying MENA voices and inspiring sustainable change through knowledge, collaboration, and impact-driven dialogue.
