From September 23 to 29, 2025, the Youth Center for Dialogue and Peace (YCDP) took part in the High-Level Plenary Meeting held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the World Programme of Action for Youth (WPAY).
Mr. Yama Sukhanyar, Founder and Executive Director of YCDP, represented the organization at the event, joining global leaders, policymakers, and youth advocates from around the world to reflect on three decades of progress in advancing the global youth development agenda.
The meeting reaffirmed the continued relevance of the World Programme of Action for Youth, adopted by the United Nations in 1995, as a guiding framework for promoting the empowerment, inclusion, and participation of young people in global decision-making processes.
Through its continued engagement with the United Nations and other international partners, YCDP remains dedicated to empowering young leaders, advancing human rights, and amplifying youth voices in global peacebuilding and development processes.
