Youth Center for Dialogue and Peace Represented at the Doha Forum – Youth Edition

The Youth Center for Dialogue and Peace (YCDP) was represented at the Doha Forum – Youth Edition by Advisory Board member Mr. Naweed Zahed, marking an important opportunity to highlight the organization’s mission and global commitment to youth empowerment.

During the forum, Mr. Zahed engaged with young professionals and representatives from nearly 150 countries, exchanging perspectives and learning from diverse experiences. The discussions and contributions shared at the event underscored a collective belief in the resilience of humanity and the importance of dialogue in building a future free from conflict, hatred, and division.

At the forum, Mr. Zahed also advocated for the rights of Afghan youth, with a particular focus on girls and women who continue to face restrictions on access to education and employment. He emphasized that attempts to justify these exclusions through references to “culture” or “tradition” lack evidence, noting that the majority of Afghans across ethnic groups strongly support the right of girls to pursue education and participate meaningfully in society.

YCDP’s participation in the Doha Forum – Youth Edition reflects the organization’s ongoing commitment to empowering young people worldwide through dialogue, forums, and inclusive initiatives that promote peace and social cohesion.
