Youth Center for Dialogue and Peace (YCDP) Board Member Ms. Taranum Orya represented the organization at the 69th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

The CSW69 brings together global leaders, policymakers, and advocates to discuss ways to accelerate gender equality and empower women and girls around the world.

Representing YCDP, Ms. Orya amplified the voices of youth, Afghan girls, and women, highlighting their resilience and advocating for inclusive policies that advance equality, peace, and justice.

YCDP reaffirmed its commitment to promoting inclusive and gender-responsive policies, especially for communities affected by conflict and displacement. “Ms. Orya’s participation at CSW69 reflects YCDP’s dedication to ensuring that the voices of young people and women from conflict-affected regions are represented on global platforms,” the organization stated.
